Service area
Based in Holliston, Souzet is within a short drive of Medway (3 mi), Sherborn (4 mi), Millis (4 mi), Ashland (5 mi), Milford (5 mi) and Hopkinton (6 mi). Most Massachusetts hvac contractors work a 25-mile radius, so homeowners in those towns can reasonably ask for a quote.
Hiring a HVAC contractor in Holliston
The Town of Holliston requires a building permit for HVAC system replacement through the Building Department, plus a separate electrical permit for new heat pump circuits. Standard permits typically clear in a few business days. Properties near the many wooded wetlands, ponds, and the Bogastow Brook area may need Conservation Commission review for outdoor work. Homes near the historic town center may face added review for street-visible exterior changes. Reputable contractors pull permits as part of the project.
HVAC costs in Holliston track the MetroWest market — below Boston city pricing but above central MA. A like-for-like gas or oil furnace and AC replacement is typically $7,000–$11,000 installed; a single-zone ductless mini-split runs $4,500–$7,500; a whole-home heat pump retrofit is typically $16,000–$28,000 before rebates. Homes that can reuse existing ductwork for a ducted heat pump land toward the lower end; larger homes on wooded lots can push higher.
Massachusetts requires a written contract and a Home Improvement Contractor registration for most residential hvac work; ask for the registration number and check it before paying a deposit.
